About Tim

Your ship, my expertise

Welcome! My name is Tim Visser. From an early age, I grew up with boats and sailing. From open boats on lakes, I progressed to sea sailing. As a 15-year-old boy I started giving sailing lessons, first in open boats, later becoming an sea sailing instructor. I gave training courses from the Baltic to Brittany. Combined with my degree in Mechanical Engineering and my Business Administration degrees, this forms the basis of my expertise.

I share the passion for sailing with my family. I am married to Carolien and we have three children. In 2017 and 2018, we sailed to Spain, Portugal, the Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands and Morocco. In 2021, we made a 6-month trip to France and the Azores. In autumn and winter, we sailed back to Enkhuizen via Brittany and Normandy.
An ocean crossing had been on the bucketlist for some time. In November 2022, I made it from Cape Verde to Recife in Brazil.

Through all these adventures, I gained experience with different types of yachts including Swan, Wauquiez, Elan, Dehler, Bavaria, Jeanneau. From 2012 to 2015, I supervised and partly carried out myself the complete refit of a Swan 48.

My work and passion are always at the intersection of technology, advice and people.

In the specialism of ship expert, everything comes together.

Oh yes, worth mentioning, all photos on this site are made by my self.
